Call Customer Service at Ernie Ball.

Unless you just want an aftermarket preamp for some reason, like maybe Seymour Duncan is your uncle or something.

asking for advice regarding replacing our product with the competition is prob ably not a good way to start. Try the seymour forum. Our customer service will be glad to help you if you decide to put an officiall part back in. Modded instruments usually have lower resale for a reason.

i did contact customer service in an email. have not heard back from them. i also wasn't aware that this was an ernie ball only forum where my question, which does pertain to my ernie ball, would be replied to with such rudeness. if you represent the company, then you are doing so very poorly. or maybe ernie ball is just your uncle. either way, if you had confidence in your product, you might see it fit to answer my question about the competition, knowing that yours was better.

Hmmm, perhaps my sense of humor was not coming through like it usually does?

Call, and by that I am implying if not outright suggesting the use of a telephone, customer service and they will help you.

Dial 1-866-823-2255 and ask for customer service.

Regarding aftermarket parts, this really IS the Ernie Ball Forum, so I would think you might expect people to suggest replacing OEM parts with OEM parts rather than the competition.

Shall we give this one a go and start anew?

I'll let you into a secret. Big Poppa is Sterling Ball, son of Ernie and owner of the company.

At this point you may want to try a bit of back pedalling. ;)

Jeez Im sorry you took it wrong

if you went to the ford forum and asked which chevy engine to put in you may get similar responses

I told you that the Seymour forum would be a good place to get an opinion.

I also told you that customer service would be happy to help you
i also told you that when you put an aftermarket product your resale is impacted.

Please tell me what was rude as I did not mean it. Maybe when you think of the ford and chevy point you may see why you may not get the most supportive response.

When did you e-mail them? Did you e-mail them over the weekend? That could explain the delay.

I have had excellent service from the people in Customer Service. They have sent me parts with no problems. There is one time when an e-mail got overlooked, but the delay was only a day or two. They are generally happy to help. They even sent me a couple of T-shirts for nothing.

For some reason, this scenario never gets old to me...I always get a chuckle...then I have to resist being a smartass.

DARNED EBMM CUSTOMER SERVICE!

I called them and had to wait a whole 2 minutes to talk to someone!

The guy greets me by my FIRST NAME and asks how I've been feeling since my surgery! The NERVE!

This guy was unbelieveable! He listened patiently to my problem and was actually kind and courteous!

Then he droned on for another 3 minutes about how they "apologize for the problem, send it back right away, will be glad to fix it" etc... etc......

I had to wait like, 30 minutes for the UPS return label to be sent to me! BASTARDS!

Then they had the unmitigated gall to send it back to me in less than ONE WEEK! Completely repaired and fully functional!

Well, that settles it!

I'm never going to order a Medallion Gold Sterling HH with a white pearloid pickguard and a maple neck!

Until I see if there is something better coming in a LE model for 2008!

That'll learn 'em! :D

Okay, okay. Remember that the original poster is new and hasn't had the experience that you guys have had - or at least know about.

Naranja, we're a helpful bunch. Why don't you try what I suggested and let me know how it works for you?

Sorry about that Jack, BP. The smart-ass knob was set on 11 this morning. :)

Naranja,

EBMM customer service is great.
They bend over backwards to help. My personal experience.
As Jack said, call them on the phone.

and BP is unique as he actively participates in this forum. I think we are privileged that he spends time to talk to us.
Heck, he even listens. How 'bout that. which is far better than most of us. :D
I dare say you would be hard pressed to find another CEO/Owner of any compnay that does this.

Ok, getting off my soap box.
* quick bow *

It occured to me that perhaps naranja might have thought that BP's signature was directed specifically at him. In which case the endearing term "Knuckleheads" would have come off wrong. ??
