Just received my new Stingray 4 last night. Have to say thanks to the UPS man and Gard at Bass Central. After seeing pictures of Bovinehost's Bongo, I ordered a Carbon Blue Stingray. Nice color. Maple neck and black pickguard. E43743. It is set up with very low action and has some fret buzz. I'll wait a few days before I make adjustments. I'll get to play through my main rig tomorrow night at practice. Thanks Ernie Ball for an awesome product.

I would like to post pics if I knew how. That being said, uploading pics on my dial up is sooooooooo sloooooooowwwwwwwwww. Plus it's spyware infected. I am virus/adware scanning almost daily. My Norton antivirus software stopped working. I do have a digital camera. I will try. But can I upload a photo saved on my desktop to this forum??

I guess I will chime in as well, congrats on the new bass. If you love it now, you will love it more later. My SR5 gets better and better as I tweak the setup over time. Oh yea, Post Pics Please.... :D

Congratulations and Enjoy!!!

I know you will love it. I've had mine for 2 1/2 weeks now and I still make extra trips to it's room just to pick it up for a minute or two.

The first week or so I had to tweak the neck a few times, but she seemed to settle in nicely now.

Agreed, every Music Man I've had the pleasure of owning has only ever gotten better with time. I don't know of there's so much about them to learn or if it's the fact that they really are just amazing basses that you can grow with but they just keep delivering.

Congrats and enjoy the new 'Ray.

Nice color choice (and bass of course). The real one is a bit different of what you see on Bonvine's (great) pages. I don't have a digital camera, but i'll try to post pics. I think with the light of a snowy country (that will soon be here), it's maybe possible to get the color on a pic.

Thanks for the replies. during the holiday break I will attempt to post a picture or two. If that doesn't work, I'll take your advice ebmuscmanlv83 and email you some shots. thanks. Tonight is our practice night and I can't wait to plug in. I sold a G&L L2000 and a Sterling to get this Stingray. I loved the Sterling's sound but the neck was too small for me. The G&L had no solid low end. It was mainly midrange. I'm 49 and into playing punk rock. After all the years of playing different basses, i finally have found the right one. All for fun.

Hey! I'm 49 too! I have a G&L 2500 that I'm going to put on the bay soon. I am not impressed with the tone either. It just has no huevos. I much prefer the sound of my SR5 and my Lakland 55-02.
