It' s really dark on that stage, but You could still see nice maple fretboard, black dots and frets on it, right?

That's one of reasons I prefer maple FB! ;)

Mighty bass and amplification! :)

Thanks guys. It's a great privilege to be able to play an ernie ball bass. I usually don't keep basses very long, I get bored and want something new. But this SR5 is special.be thankful for your musicmans. A lot of people are not as fortunate as us to be able to have such fine basses as these. Happy thanksgiving to everyone

Having been blasting away with the Bongo 4H most rehearsals recently I went along yesterday with the SR5HH. Man, what a sound, centre switch, both H's on for a fantastic boingy slap sound on a new tune we're working on and then get the pick out (which I don't usually play with at all) for a song written by our singer which needed a really raunchy grinding hard rock sound - turned the bass up a bit, boosted the subs out of the Ashdown and wow off we went. Used my cheating trick of a guitar wah pedal pushed all the way down to grind the upper freqs a bit but still leave the bass clear but even without that it rocked - amazing.

Love the SR5.

What colour is your SR5 = even though it's a dark stage it looks v shiny and purple?

PS I also love my SR5H - it is a classic instrument IMO and can excel with most genres

Its black / maple
