They askend me to order a MM for them as a floor model so I;m coming to you guys....

I'm picky, but i wasnt at open house, and well some of you were lucky enough to ber there...

So I was thinking Sterling 4, rosewood matching head stock... but really i cant really decide between the hh and the hs.. I'm leaning towards the hh, but things are keeping me away from it, andn leaning towards hs...

I dont like mud...and I like slap room...however, i like no hum

now those of you that were at slo, how much more boom or "mud" did the hh produce than the hs? basically asking for the neck position only.... and how about position 2... rather than single J or the jazz setup....

I'm at a loss, i really never got to compare the 2, soo?

IMHO better go HS or someone will complain about slapping on the HH.

That said. It really doesn't matter cuz a player can play them all.

I have 2 concerns with the HS....

That being that position 5 wont be as fat and position 2 wont be as good either... really, imo.. without hearing it position 2 prolly doesnt sound too much diff than position 1 on an HS....

I undertand that position one is very refined as it is.... i mena, thats where you get the piano tones right? so all you really need is an inbetween and a fat right?

HH Sterling all the way........... if guys beeyatch about slapping room then they need to stick with Louis Johnson's single H style and be happy with that BUT the tones on the dual H Sterling are great. I only spent a bit of time on one at the Open House but it was great. As for colour, a vintage burst w/maple board or Trans Red, white pearloid p/g , rosewood board and matching headstock, would be a show stopper!(check it out on the 'build an instrument' at the MM site)
