If I could design and build a guitar from EBMM it would have these specs:

2pc alder body Silhouette Special shape, white finish. EBMM vintage style string-thru body chrome hardtail bridge with deep V bent steel saddles (Gotoh S108) and hardened steel base plate. Top routed for single direct-to-body mounted bridge position humbucker (DiMarzio PAF Pro black). No pickguard, no switches, no silent circuit. Rear loaded 250K CTS volume and tone pots, 0.047uf tone cap, shielded control cavity, unshielded pickup cavity. Unplated brass heavy knurled knobs, typical Silhouette Special knob placement. Schaller strap lock buttons unplated brass. Side mounted switchcraft 1/4" enclosed jack.

Stock Silhouette Special neck, white headstock face. 5 bolt mounting, spoke truss rod adjustment, compensated nut, stock Silhouette Special fret wire. Hard rock maple with maple fretboard, wax/oil finished, small black dot markers. Chrome Schaller locking tuners with unplated brass buttons. 9-42 slinkys tuned down 1/2 step.

Sounds great and most of that is easily do-able, with a little money and patience.

It's not to late for a New Years resolution is it? Make it happen in 2016! :)
