Greeetings! I'm new here.

I have this Sabre bass that has a serial number of 31704. It has a fretless board, ash body, Ernie Ball label, mute bridge, bullet truss rod, covered pickups, and a clear pickguard. The neckplate just says Music Man and has the guitar playin' guys on it.

Anybody have any info on this?

Those are stock EB-era Sabre pickups.

The fretlines look a little thick to me, any possibility that was de-fretted and the slots filled? I don't know when EB started offering fretlines on their fretless necks.

Then wouldn't the neck have dot markers on the fretboard?? unless the board was changed
