.....HOLY CRAP!!!! I think that's all I can say right now! :D

Seriously, what an awesome feeling neck and what a huge yet articulate sound. I really love my BFR JP6 I got last fall from Pete but this thing takes the freakin' cake! It sounds as huge as my current BFR but yet the notes/chords seem to ring out clearer/cleaner even on heavy distortion. I ran them both through my Bogner Duende and my Axe-FX with an Uberschall preset and I'm really diggin the rosewood JP. I never realized how much I missed the more aggressive arm contour of the standard JP body compared to the BFR body, it just feels more comfortable to me plus overall the guitar is lighter.

It's quite the progression I've had over the past three years, I started with the pre D-sonic JP6 and the ergonomics of the JP have ruined me for wanting any other guitar, then after dancing with a JP7, I stepped up to the BFR last year and the mahogany tone block really added that LPish dimension I was wanting/missing. Now the rosewood neck model, no mahogany tone block, back to the original JP6 body style but the rosewood neck gives it this huge and yet articulate sound and I love having the unfinished neck feel again. I definetely want to do the push/pull tone mod to it after having that flexibility in my other BFR.

Pete D, you got mail (soon!).

The MD JP6 with BFR RW Neck was originally my baby, I was the first owner before I sent her back to Pete for the 25th.

She REALLY is a unique gem, and a beauty, thank you for picking her up. I really appreciate her finding a home with one of the Knuckleheads.

Enjoy!

Congrats on an awesome combo! It's good to hear that the BFR RW neck adds so much to the standard model; as I've never played a BFR JP and have one on the way, maybe my JP7 won't get neglected as I was worried it might :D

I was planning to reserve most of my personal comments regarding the 25th until I felt the 1 month period was over and my initial buyer's "high" wore off.

Must say, I'm still at a loss for words. I haven't figured everything out yet. I have a pretty large array of pedals so isolating unique and usable sounds is something I haven't mapped out fully yet.

I've had this guitar for over a month, and I practice at least an hour a day, its been over a month, I still haven't got all the features of this guitar out yet. Let me tell you, that's quite a thing.

But as for the JP, the Piezo option is what I miss most, and that uber ergonomic and comfortable styling. Not to mention that BFR RW Neck, as smooth as a baby's bottom!
