Hey,

I was checking out the NAMM fotos, when I spyed an ASS, with pickup covers.

So, I have a question or two.

Can I retro fit my SS pickups with covers¿ Where might I acuire them if this can be done¿

I like the way that the SS looks, I just think it would look better with the covers.

As I did not have the time to read the 26 pages or so of the post mentioned, though I did understand, that the guitar in the NAMM post ,was a 25th ASS.

Also, I´m 2,500 miles from the axe and don´t know enough about the ASS to know the answer to my question.

So, again I´ll ask.

Can I retro fit pickup covers on my SS or is there not enough room, etc.¿¿¿

Thank you for your time,

Mick

Hey Mick, how are ya? What's up in Rochester?

One way to find out if covers would fit is to go to a music shop and try a cover on it. I don't know for sure but I don't see what you couldn't put covers on your bare naked pups. DiMarzio has covers for their hummers and also they have chrome top hummers available, though they are spensive.

http://www.dimarzio.com/media/content/pdfs/price_list_pickups.pdfscroll towards the bottom

Pickups | DiMarzio.com look at vintage output - PAF classic neck for an example of a pup covered

Most likely someone else will chime in on this subject.
