Spent about 3 hours at NAMM. 2 1/2 of which were at the EB booth.
First person i saw was Scott Ball. I said hi and how I was there to give the new BFR lukes a go see if they were going to be worth the money. He said there all right over there hanging on the wall, so I grabbed the blue flame one before someone else did. ANd spent the next hour and a half playing it.
Right off it felt great and I was really happy to find that it wasn't nearly as heavy as the one Luke was playing at Dallas was. This one seemed not any noticably heavier than any of mine.
A couple years back the eb booth was set up with korg pandoras, but this year they had a different/similar type gadget but with a much more pleasing palate of tones I thought. I was hooked right away and since it's been since about 6/05 since I ordered my last ball, and I've really been waiting for these, and pete dubaldo was right there...no-brainer. And while i was playing this new beauty, Luke who was hanging and greeting everybody comes up and gives me a hug.
Man I wanted to hand him the guitar and listen to him through headphones.
Many thanks to Sterling, Dudley, Luke, Dan Mac, and the rest of the guys and gals for making us all feel welcome.
Best of luck on the new products and congratulations to all on what I hope will be a very successful BFR line of guitars and basses. Can't wait to own one...or two...
