I think it's completely pointless to have a second show after Winter NAMM. Makes NO sense to me and seems like nothing more than a money-making scam by NAMM on the dealers. It's like having a second Super Bowl the same year...

to some degree yes...

but if you've ever been to winter NAMM you'd know that Anaheim just cannot accommodate everyone that wants to come... every hotel, motel, shack, shanty and park bench are booked solid and it's an absolute mad house. I think providing a second opportunity to showcase your products is wonderful and also allows smaller vendors to showcase some of thier products...

here's an example...

My buddy Peter Rutter of VFE Pedals was at Winter NAMM and I was there representing his company and demoing his products. He is a one man shop and he designs, builds, sells, ships, every single pedal personally. At the Winter NAMM he was picking up some attention but was hoping for more...
This time around he was getting some serious attention for his MEGA PEDAL which featured every pedal he makes into one unit without any digital programing at... Premier Guitar was all over it and there were a few others as well. My point being this is a much smaller show but provides similar media coverage and allows the smaller guys to really shine. In this example VFE really stood out this time...

I think it's a great way to do it and has been a proven success so far :)
