Well I finally got a chance to see what's on my camera. Most are from me handing it to someone as we were all pretty busy at the booth. Here's a few good ones. So proud to be an EBMM artist for the last 10yrs :D

Travis,

I think you did a great job in presenting the GameChanger to the crowd there.

And as usual You and Jennifer had great performances. I felt lucky since I saw your show in San Jose the week prior and then caught three of your performances on the Sat and Sun at NAMM.

ScoobySteve, I don't want to speak for Travis, but if his presentation at NAMM is any indication, I would say he likes the GC.........

Thanks for the kind words guys. You're absolutly right, I think the Game Changer is one of the coolest things I've seen in my lifetime with electric guitar. It's NO GIMMICK! The different tones have always existed in these guitars. It's just that no one figured out a switching system to utilize the guitars potential. That's why people have several axes for different things. Well, OK pretty colors are cool...but if you travel at all with your axe....:) Not to mention finding sounds that no manufacturer would mass produce because it might be too specialized. It's all at our fingertips now!

Hey Travis, so cool of you to post the pics and your thoughts on the GC. I wish I lived out in Cali so I could attend all these cool shindigs...minus hundreds of cameras.

BP, I know your frustration with the cameras and cell phones. That first pic is a prime example. What is up with people these days and documenting EVERYTHING and SHARING everything. If it is done properly fine...but with a crappy cell or doing a video recording with a digital camera with a crappy built in mic? That's ridiculous. What ever happened to enjoying the moment there and then...and having that as a nice experience and memory...are people that brainwashed and dumbed down that they forget everything instantly?

Now I am not including people that have a purpose for doing these things though...in this case Travis and the band. You guys document a lot of your tours which is a cool insight into the band from the inside and the journey. But who the hell cares about some random dude without a purpose recording terrible quality videos?

Sorry for the rant...Travis, thanks again for your insight. TLB needs to come back to NYC soon. How about TLB and Steve Morse Band touring together :D.

notice the shots of the people in the first one? that is what we look at cameras!

Haha, that's why I stuck it in here. Just to give an idea of what it's like. Now don't suck! Even the ones that look like still cams are taking video.

That's the difference isn't it... Someone can post anything they want of themselves, but to post an in the moment jam and then critique it as if it's a produced release isn't fair to the subject. I've always tried to bring people into things as much as possible, but I've never posted another artist without them being part of my thing.
I have plenty of personal scrap book video from many of my gigs or sessions with heros of mine and that's how it should stay when filming things you want to remember. My 2 cents
I'm even fairly cool with video if it's for YOU. Just not the toxic world of "Who's Better" and "This Guys Sucks!"

its the new world and I only mourn the loss of the private moment......everything is on the record. Many things will never get played in public again...THink about you are jammin with a friend...now instead of just thinking of the music you have to insert a filter in case you make a mistake and it becomes critiqued history

I totally agree. I can try and make the new world work for me, but it's kinda like the downloading music debate. I love an album cover and liner notes as a part of the art. Part of the art and joy of playing live music is taking chances knowing the moment will pass no matter what. The coolest thing about the new world of the Game Changer is that the integrity of the guitar is completely intact. Unlike the integrity of a record or a totally free musical experience in today's world. Can't say that about many modern innovations. How's that for bringing the conversation full circle, haha.

Its always been like that though. Private moments are private. NAMM is about as public as you can get. If there is an artist jamming at an event like Guitar Center. They should have a rule and enforce it with no media cameras and recording devices. Everyone makes mistakes playing. They are human as well. Also everything from the begining of time and will be forever critiqued. Even more now with BLOGGERS and digital media. Some Artist could care less what the media says or anyone else for that matter. Others really get bothered by it and it eats at them. I say just play! Hendrix, Clapton and every other single Artist cant always be on their game 100% all the time. I have seen some bad Hendrix Video..Ouch.. It happens..It nothing new. I remember seeing old School Artist that are still around Playing. The old -Day on the Greens- Oakland- Bill Graham Presents....That sounded so bad.. The reviews in the papers were honest. The Rock and guitar Magazines and certain writers kissed their behinds because they knew if they wrote something bad... then no interview later on. Not the rule of thumb.. but happened. They will still play... especially NEW artist that need to prove and earn their way. Same stuff different time.. Even more magnafied now than in the past...Better be on your Game....Changer
