First of all I have to say thank god I"m even here to type this message. So, yesterday I received a bass I ordered back in the beginning of January. A brand new Stingray 5 string HH in Pacific Blueburst with matching headstock and maple board. It is absolutely gorgeous!! When I ordered I was told around the end of March and then a couple weeks before the due date was told another few weeks. Well, last Saturday morning, around 1am a neighbor started a fire and it burned down all of our condos to the ground. I escaped with just a pair of sweats and a t-shirt. Didn't even have shoes on my feet. Had this bass showed up on time it would have been next to all the others I had that didn't make it. I don't have anything to play it on, or anything to take pictures with, and I"m on a borrowed computer, but as soon as I do I will post it.

Thank God for small favors... Somebody was watching over you. Glad you are safe and in one piece. Good luck on getting back on your feet home and possession wise.

Ouch!!! Terribly tragic news man. Glad the bass arrived to brighten up an otherwise gloomy set of events.

Thank you for all of the kind words everyone. Yes BP, this is no doubt an awesome foundation for rebuilding. I absolutley love this bass in every way, and I am VERY picky!! As far as rebuilding, gonna be a long road. I have a home owner's policy and because I file taxes as a muciscian, my instrumetns, P.A. and lighting system, and recording studio are considered business tools and my homeowner's has a $500 cap for business tools. I had a lawyer look through things already and there is no hope there! Also found out the guy who started the fire has a second mortgage and two liens against him previously. With coverage about the same as mine and his expected to rebuild four condo units there will be nothing left for me to sue for. There is a lesson to be gained here fellow friends from the bottom end. Mine is the unit next to the one still smoldering in this picture. I'm still figuring out my new replacement phone and will get some pics of this BEAUTIFUL bass asap. Even with all of the bad news, this bass still doesn't stop bringing a smile to my face!!!!!!

man, that sucks...at least you've got a sweet bass!

I know how you feel, I went through a fire too and dealing with losing more stuff than insurance could cover and all that...
