I just snagged a Classic StingRay 4 in Lake Tahoe Blue during my Spring Break travels.... wow! A totally different vibe than my regular StingRay. I played around on a Markbass CMD 102 combo at the store and was really impressed with the classic 2 band eq - very smooth. I'm a "set it, forget it" guy, so this bass is the prefect fit. I LOVE the look of the wood in the neck -amazing!

Currently playing in a classic country band.... Despite the funk/slap cliche, I can honestly say that the StingRay is an AWESOME country bass!

Since I don't have any pictures yet, I am aware that my bass doesn't "technically" exist.... but wait until I get a camera handy!

Playin' some old Hank Williams, Sr. and Ray Price... gotta start getting the hang of those string mutes....:)

I play my SR Classic with a singer/songwriter. Perfect and definitely not slappity pop.
