Those that follow me know i love the Big Al.. I also love purple, and anything described as purple. That said. i feel this color would have been better named Aqua Lavender.. but its still the coolest blue guitar I have ever come across. Thanks to Glen P, and Anthony L at Guitar Center Hollywood for helping me bring this home. The color is almost impossible to photograph, but here's what the iPhone caught.

The color shift is best represented in the fifth picture from the top along the edge closest to my body. It's a rosey silvery light purple. And it's subtle but it looks really cool. This one is going to get flats and will probably make it's way into my regular rotation. Pickguard condom is off already. I may try and get a vintage white pearloid for it or use the clear one I have from another bass. Either way I have some decisions to make.

I love how the finish changes with the lighting, like the Dargies. Many moons ago, I owned a bass that was green under florescent lights, and black under incandescent lights. That was the best part about that bass, so I no longer own it.

It is more blue green than purple. The purple is lavender or almost peachy. I have a gig tomorrow night well see what those pictures look like.
