While the bass has been waiting for me in NY for a couple of weeks, I just got back and finally had the chance to pick up my new Game Changer! My initial reaction from first picking it up was how noticeably lighter the bass is in comparison to my Stingray. The neck feels AMAZING. Super slick but not cramped. Then of course it was time for the Game Changing. As you move things around on the grid, you can actually here faint clicking as the wiring changes inside the bass, very cool. I haven't gotten the chance to mess around with too much yet (it's a lot!) but I've already had fun listening to some of the presets in the library (the last setting in the Rock Bass folder is awesome!). Being as I've been playing my Stingray almost exclusively for the last 4 years, I'm finding myself being drawn to the passive tones as well as the tones with coils in series (as I believe most of the settings on the Ray HH are in parallell). Anyways this thing is awesome! I'm playing a small show next weekend where hopefully I'll get some good gig shots of it. Also should be recording my first song with it starting in the next week or so. Can't wait!

Also, to BP or whoever deals with the online product registration thing, when selecting and instrument there's not option for Game-Changer or even for Reflex bass (there's Reflex guitar and 25th Anniversary bass as an option).

Congratulations - you must have had the longest wait I can remember on an instrument on the bass forum.

I hope it goes well on the gig- I never noticed before but you have a blade switch rather than push buttons - does it function like the one on the SR4HH?

Thanks! The blade switch on the Game Changer is for the different pick-up presets you create. You can save them in the different switch positions.

Congrats!

Fantastic, ...second forum member with GC already, ...wow, ...I think I'm missing something?

Please write short review in the near future, OK?

Thanks! The only real thing I haven't gotten to play with yet is the MIDI stuff, as I don't have my interface at my house. The app is super user friendly and there are really a lot of great sounds. Like I said the most fun so far has been playing with the sounds I couldn't get on my Stingray (passive tones and tones with pickups in series). I can't wait to record with this thing!

Ohh Yeah, ...I think that HH reflex equipped with Gamechanger switching unit in passive mode is the King of the studio basses!
So many pure analog passive coil options, ...that "thing" can replace any famous bass tone in the studio, ...that's for sure, ...and all that in just one bass? Great patent indeed!
I just wonder what the GC can do in active mode at live giggin'? :)

With hundreds of thousands of possible order combinations.

:D Yup!

Nobody should ask me, but if they did, I'd change the meaning of GC like right now. The GameChanger obviously deserves it, and after all, this is the EBMM forum.
Nice to read old posts too then: "I bought my Reflex at the GameChanger".

best,
