WOW!! You all will probably think I'm insane, but I've purchased my last 3 guitars site-unseen, off the old world wide web. I'll admit it, I hate shopping in guitar stores! 
As a matter of fact, I'd never held an Axis in my hands before I placed a special order for one. And I had never held a Bongo in my hands before tonight! Of course I had owned my trusty Stingray for years before (I did play that one before I bought it), and that alone gave me complete faith in Music Man guitars. I love 'em, and I would take any model they make, and no doubt love playing it.
So on to this Bongo... They've always looked mean, angular, BIG and alien to me, so I guess that's what I was expecting. My Stingray is pretty heavy (don't know the weights, I'm not too particular about that), as the name implies, it's a sweet old muscle car! The Bongo is a freaking 911 Turbo! (I guess technically, more like an M3?!) It's light! It's sleek! It's comfortable! It's versatile! ETC., ETC! I could go on, but you guys know all this right?! An amazing instrument! Thanks to the MM crew, and thanks to the guys at Bass Central for the great service (and free t-shirt!)
Pics (rather lousy at this point, but I've got a new bass to play tonight!) hopefully attached. (Whew, I made it through with no Vader, Dark Side, Use the Force references!) DOH! How can you not name it VADER?!
