This will be here next week. Should make a good mate for my BFR Sterling. This one supposedly has an ebony board. Was that a special run? Don't remember any Music Man basses with ebony boards. Someone have any info?

Thats the pic from the original owner. I'm not creative enough to make crates curve around power outlet like that! And Yes it is a Honeyroasted neck.

It looks like one that I played at GC a while back. Nice bass, just not my thing with the gloss neck. It was damn expensive too if I remember near the $2k range.

My Big Al has Ebony, but like yours, it's a BFR model. Nice lookin' bass, BTW. If it were a single H, I'd be all over it.

Yeah, that does take talent and creativity - or many years, and no upkeep - hahaha!!!

I'm sure you'll be very happy with that BFR roasty - it sure is a beaut... I'm looking forward to getting your Sterling 5 HS...

I have the same bass except with maple board instead of ebony. Very nice bass. Congrats and enjoy.

It got here yesterday, which just happened to be my 51st birthday! The pictures don't do it justice. It will get its first gig Saturday playing for a group of Veterans. Curious to see how much difference there is in the Alnico pickups compaired to the ceramic pickups of the Sterling.

I'm glad you got it OK - after playing the Sterling 5 HS you sent me, IMO the Sterling's ceramic pups are definitely more mid present sounding...
