Well, after some experimenting with Stingrays old, new, 4 string 5 string, 2 and 3 band, I had an opportunity to buy my bass teacher's Sabre, which was always one of the best basses I played and was some kind of reference bass every time I brought one of my GAS basses to my teacher. Of course, I always wanted to have bass like this, but my teacher never wanted to hear about selling it. It is more than 5 years I ended my lessons by him, but we were friends from that time.
But as you all know, life sometimes brings strange and things and one of it is this Sabre.

My teacher used to be big-band master, but it was last December right before Christmas, when he had a heart attack, felt to coma and never woke from it. So his wife had to make sale of his stuff last week (debts, the fact that his brain is totally damaged, her need to move to small flat..) and I did must buy this Sabre. I hope I will never have to sell it, I feel there is piece of him inside it, just an emotional buy, after very long time.

I'm sorry for such a long story, here it is - 1991 Sabre, 6 bolt neck, rosewood fretboard and ash body, birdseye maple neck, 3 band eq, teal green (much more green than on pictures).

man, that's an incredible story, and a fantastic looking instrument. Every time you will play it, you will be reminded of your mentor, and that's just a great thing.
