Well, back in September when the PDN Cardinal Red Sparkle was announced, I knew that then was the time to finally order a Classic Sabre. Today I finally received it and it is hands-down the most beautiful Music Man I have owned to date. I haven't plugged it in yet, but unplugged it sounds great. Here's a quick pic that I snapped.

I also have to say that I was worried about weight seeing as though the website states that the average weight is 10.5 pounds. I was lucky that my bass was 9.5 pounds. There is a lot of neck dive without a strap, but with a strap it balances perfectly.

I have to ask, how do you check for neck dive without a strap?

It probably sounds silly, but sitting in a chair (both feet flat on the floor) is how I check for neck dive without a strap. My Big Al balances perfectly without a strap, but the Sabre does not. It doesn't bother me in the slightest since it's no big deal to practice with a strap.
