My new Sky Blue SR4 HS with white pearloid pick guard, see pics.

I am absolutely enjoying this bass so much, it's pure quality. It is the first time I haven't had to set the eq on my amp (Trace Elliot combo) to taylor the sound of the bass with extreme cut and boost etc. I have had to go flat on the eq because the natural sound of the bass is so good and versatile, but I guess I am preaching to the converted and you already new that!

They say never meet your heros, can't see a problem so far!

Another happy customer and it really does sound as good as it looks, can't wait to gig with this beast....

Congratulations and welcome to the club! :)
That's a real beauty you have there, enjoy! I'd love to have an SR4HS one day.

Thanks for the compliments. Makes a change for me to have a colourful bass instead of my normal natural/wood or black finishes, glad I plumped for Sky Blue.

As predicted, I find the bridge pick-up my favourite sound giving the trade-mark growl. I usually go for the scooped sound, bristling highs and deep lows but on this bass I am finding myself boosting the mid-range, it bites without harshness, nice... The single pick-up really does compliment the sound though, it makes the sound less agressive, deep and full for my more familliar sound. Still a lot of experimentation on the full range of sounds however due to the versatility of the eq and pick-ups, it's all good fun.

I almost bought my SR5 in that color but opted for tangerine pearl. Beautiful bass. That combo will be my next bass.
