After last weeks Roasted Sunburst, this week I present an 1995 Naturel Velvet Unlined Fretless SR5 with a Birdseye/Flamed neck.

Its in great shape and just needs a fresh set of strings. From the looks of them the strings are the original ones that shipped with the bass and are 15+ years old

Sorry about the poor picture quality but I am running out of Gallery space.

Wow Matt! How's the WAF about this one? Or didn't you tell her...:p

Congrats!

It is going to be an interesting knucklehead bash in April with all this new stuff to check out!

Congrats!

Looks like a nice score! :)

I hope one day that I could afford one fretless Music Man bass to myself too!

Thanks everyone!

Ok, I misspelled decadent :)

The neck is very nice. It's hard for me to say which is prettier, the Roasted or the beautifully aged frettless. Spent some time last night putting new strings on it and setting it up. The neck is a bit quirky right now so the setup is still a bit high but I think will be better in a couple of days once it settles in. It spent too many years in the case.

The sounds this thing produce are amazing! Time to learn so killer fretless lines :)
