$750? Probably cause it is missing the important string! No just joking, congrats on a real find!

Nice score, but is it normal for a '78 to have 'musicman' stamped on the bridge end?

Congratulations!
Beautiful bass and an incredible deal.
I thought the neck had ambered on my 83' but yours is darker; wonder if it's just the normal aging process or does that signify spending more time around cigarette smoke?
Go ahead and break my heart and tell me it's a featherweight..

PS - Mutes shmoots; have mine, never used them; doubt many ever do

I guess its normal.. 80's Pre-EB SR have poly neck finish.. I guess that would be a big factor in aging.. I don't have a scale with me but It doesn't weight more than 10lbs..

The bridge mutes are M05502, and that comes with the screws, ordered a set through my musicman dealer not too long ago. (which I'm assuming should make me thankful for the creation of the classics even if I don't have one?)

So the only question to be answered is whether that is a small pool or a large hot tub?
