Some of the interesting features noted by the seller are recessed control and battery plates, string-through design, and unique pickguard. It's got a nicely figured birds-eye neck, too!

Pretty cool, The pics dont do red sparkle justice. It can be blinding in person. most of the time in pics it either looks really dark, or really light and you cant see the sparkles all too much. Whoever gets this one will be happy, I love mine!

It might be custom made...but not by EB.

Yep, the body wood never even saw the MM factory. I don't think a parts bass with a non-factory body is worth anywhere near what they're asking. It's been up on ebay for many weeks now with nary a bid.

Nicely made and looks great, though. I have a soft spot for the 4 bolt era but most of my fave EBs were built quite recently.

This Bass was Custom Made for me Back In Late 80's, From a Great Friend and Guitar Builder who knew at that time a Red Sparkle would have been Awesome, I had boxes and Boxes of Parts with a few NOS apoxy 77 Preamps so that was the end result.

This is Not an Ernie Ball Stingray at all. Nice bass I owned it for years til this guy wore me out to buy it so I sold it, And only because everything I own is Ernie Ball Music man, so it' wasn't hard to let go of.
