Question neck adjustment: is it the same for a 24 fret Bongo?

I always follow the recommended set-up instructions for my Stingray's neck. With the new 24 fret Bongo...do I still check the necks curvature by placing my fingers at the 2nd and 12th frets??

Same scale so shouldn't be any different than you'd normally do it.

They just added frets at the bridge end to get it to 24.
