I have a couple of Silhouette Specials with the gunstock oil-wax finish on the necks. I bought the Birchwood Casey Tru-oil and wax to refinish the necks. I remember seeing a message on this board about a suggested mixture of the two, but I have lost the article. Could someone repost it?

Also, how careful should I be about avoiding wax and gunstock oil on the front of the neck? (I'm assuming you really want lemon oil for that)
 
Yes, I saw that, I just remember some more details (quantities, mixture if you combine the two, etc.) in a thread about a year ago (?).

Is there any issue with getting gun oil or wax on the front of the neck?
