Hello guys, I would like to know if there's any difference in neck profiles between these 2 models. I'm aware about the fret sizes and radius, I wanna know more about the thickness and general feel.

Actually I have both models but my Jp12 is a 7 string so it's a different instrument.

My JPX is a black sugar edition with roasted maple neck so I've heard roasted maple necks give some feeling that there's more wood to grab, I don't know because it's my first guitar with a roasted neck, so I don't know if is any different from a regular JPX.

Thanks

Hello. I own a JPX like yours but in a seven and have owned a JP12 7 as well. The JPX is less extreme carve with some thickness that is removed for the super thin/flat JP12. I found the shoulder of the JP12 7 to be a bit edgy, to my taste. I'd suggest trying to get your hands on one as they're pretty different than the 15" carve of the JP, JP BFR, and JPX models.
