neck finish on Bongo 5

I love my Bongo hsc, Its carbon blue but the neck finish is beginning to turn to a teal color.
I have never applied any wax, I just wipe it with a EB cloth, and I am not a heavy sweater.
Just curious as to why this might be happening.
