Neck plate options?

Hello. I was wondering if anyone knows if its possible to order a guitar with a flush mounted neck plate? One of my guitars has it and one doesn't. Noticeably more comfortable playing the one that is flush with the body.

No. AFAIK, They stopped doing guitars with recessed neck plates over 13 years ago. If someone over-tightened the screws it could cause cracks in the finish.

Thanks Dr Kev, you just crushed me with that info. What if I pinkie promise to never over tighten the neck screws?
