you did god work! I just hate seeing my frets dirty and grimey, love seeing beautiful shiny polished frets when i look down at the fretboard! just like when you get a new EBMM guitar and you open the case for the first time, the frets are all sparkley.

I know that feeling:)

So Eilif do you like the profile of the Axis neck better? It's so big and chunky compared to the Luke's neck...

I prefer the Axis neck. It's not that there's something great about that neck (although sometimes I like that extra wood up top where it is...hmm I can just imagine the comments from Luke about that :D ). It's more that the "V" of the Luke neck seems to get in the way of my thumb sometimes.

I've tried a Silo Special and the 20th Silo, and I like those necks, too.

Eilif, is it possible to post a front on shot of the guitar please? BTW,the frets don't have to be polished for this photo request ;)

It's a pretty good fit, I think. It's not perfect, but it seems to work well enough.

The EBMM catalog says the Axis and Luke necks have the same width. If memory serves, the others are slightly wider (by about 1/16 of an inch?). I wouldn't have tried it if the Axis and Luke necks weren't both 2 3/16" at the last fret.

did the screw holes line up?

Ya, they lined up quite nicely. If EBMM use the same plates (with the serial no.) for all their guitars, then the 5-hole pattern--and the spacing between the holes--should be identical for all the necks. Whether a given neck fits should just be a question of how deep or wide the 'neck pocket' in the body is.
