Neck Swapping?

So, if I had 2 stingrays both the same year, both 4 strings and wanted to swap the necks (in order to get a rosewood neck on my no 1 bass), what do I need to know? Should they swap easily? Are there serial nos anywhere on the necks, or will it be untraceable?

id guess that the swap should "fit" just fine. but id assume that a setup would be in order once the swap is done

i say go for it if you know how to do your own setups

Swapping Necks won't be a Problem, But so you know, each Serial Number from Ernie Ball will indicate Blue Stingray 4 Maple neck, as an example. If you ever Sell the new Owner may wonder why the neck was swapped out but still it's not that big a deal.

I buy many used stingrays that show a neck was maple but i got it as a rosewood and it don't matter. It's an Ernie Ball and they are killer basses anyway. Play it, Love it and you'll be just fine.

sometimes neck swapping can require pretty intensive adjustments. EB stingrays are the easiest necks in the world to setup so you've got that going for you!
