I have an early 80's Cutlass that I had to scavange the electronics to make emergency repairs to my main stage bass ('78 Stingray). I never liked the way the Cutlass played (the graphite neck make it play..."stiff"); therefore, I never got around to restoring it. I'm now interested in getting the Cutlass back to its "stock" condition (I understand that very few of these were ever made...mine is near mint cosmeticaly). I contacted EB, but they seem unwilling to sell me a replacement without a return. Unfortunately, This was more than 20 years ago and I now can't find the faulty preamp. Any suggestions?
