I have an early 80's Cutlass that I had to scavange the electronics to make emergency repairs to my main stage bass ('78 Stingray). I never liked the way the Cutlass played (the graphite neck make it play..."stiff"); therefore, I never got around to restoring it. I'm now interested in getting the Cutlass back to its "stock" condition (I understand that very few of these were ever made...mine is near mint cosmeticaly). I contacted EB, but they seem unwilling to sell me a replacement without a return. Unfortunately, This was more than 20 years ago and I now can't find the faulty preamp. Any suggestions?

Well yeah, if all you needed was replacement pots, they've done that, but the entire missing electronics, no way.
Ebay is going to be your only bet. There is a guy from oregon that sells enire old 2eq control assy from things he's parted out over the years, but expect to pay around $200+.
