Thanks so much for all your suggestions! I ended up going with the Blackheart Little Giant (3/5 w). I got a ridiculously good deal on it so I can't complain about the price. I used it at a rehearsal and it's a loud 3 and 5 watts. I was able to keep up with the band without needing to be mic'ed. The amp breaks up before I would like it to but it's not anything that I can't live with. Now I just have to tweak my effects around this amp.

Know this though... I generally HATE Peavey.

Interesting. My experience with PV amps has been pretty much nothing but great. I've loved my Classic 100 for 7 years now. Even my ss Solo Series Bandit holds its own well for what it is.
