NEED HELP, having slapping effect

I have a sub sterling and everytime i pluck the strings it seems like im slapping . The strings are actually touching the pickup i believe . is it the saddle hieght? What should i do?

Your strings may be hitting the pickup when you play. Try lowering the pickup just enough to keep from hitting.

If it's fret noise you're hearing, you may want to lighten up your touch a bit (assuming your a finger-plucker).
