I listen to Diamond Dave's radio show, and I am warming to him! He is a real clever guy!

Not me, I listen to Howard on Sirius satellite radio. Diamond Dave is always a hoot though. His first week on the job he said of broadcasting "this ain't heavy lifting, folks!"

Now that Arbitron ratings have come out and he's got a horrible market share (in the all-important 18-35 demographic), he has changed his tune and is a little more respectful of radio jocks.

I cant get Howard here in the UK (I dont think anyhow). I download Dave's podcast every day whichis pretty good fodder for the bus in the mornings.

i was listening to DLR highlights radio and there is a good interview with Brian May and another one where he talks about some of the song selection process with Van Halen for recording. An interview with Uncle Ted Nugent who talks about his VH 1 show is there also.

interesting.

Brent,
Sorry, I went through my old stuff last night and didn't have the one you were looking for. I have a ton of old "Circus" magazines and the Guitar World's are from '96 and '98 with Van Halen related stuff. On the bright side I found a few mags that had some VH tab I've been looking for.

The only thing close was a magazine all about EVH when he went to Musicman and it had a big write up about his new relationship with EB. It was a pretty good re-read and all of it was confirmed in our Open House Saturday discussion with BP and Dudley. Although Ed's recollection of the number of prototypes differed by about 30 from what Dudley was talking about!!! I think I tend to believe Dudley, I saw the proof... ;)

Ain't that the truth!!! I was actually laughing out loud at some of the pictures from the early 80's in those old rags.
