Hi to all,
I want to buy my first MusicMan. I have a question about the neck thickness of Petrucci guitar. Unfortunately I do not have to test it cos there is no dealer in my town. So is the neck similar to ibanez wizard neck cos I don't like ultra thin necks. Thanks...

It's the fartherest thing from a wizard neck. EB necks are not as wide as a on Fenders (going across frets), but they have more of a rounded profile. I think that maes uop for the fact that they are ot very wide. They also fan out a bit going toward the neck joint. I would say deffinately play one before you commit.

Try the dealear locater to find the closest one to you. A quote from my dad. "Son, don't ever buy a pair of shoes without trying them on first. Also, you don't have to buy every pair of shoes you try on." I have found this idea can apply to more than shoes.

You're incorrect.....the width at the nut on the JP is 1 11/16 at the nut....many Fenders (ack!!!) are set up with this width, in fact if it is an american or american deluxe in most cases this what youre dealing with.

While the JP contour isn't like a Wizard, it resembles the Ibanez Ultra neck (which was a little more rounded and thicker)...I agree with trying before you buy tho...some dudes don't like the JP necks but to each his own...

Welcome to the addiction! My advice.....try one, then buy one. But, if you buy before you try and don't like it.....sell it to me......cheap!! hehehehe....seriously, you really really should try one out first.

I was talking about the Axis neck. Sometimes I forget that EB makes anything else!
