Dude you need to decide whether you want an Axis or an EVH. There are too many cheap EVH's out there. So, if I were you I'd go for the Axis and when your a rock star and can afford an EVH, get it then.

There are a lot of Axes (plural of Axis, per Jimi D), you need to finger out what you can afford and then go from there.

Also, it might help others if you fill out your location. You never know someone might know of an decently prices Axis.

Hope this helps, Glenn |B)

The Axis is nearly the same guitar as the EVH. Some notable differences are between the EVH and the Axis are:

Volume knob says "VOLUME"
Pickup selector switch is back by the volume control instead of by the lower horn.
The back is contoured.
The neck is a smidge wider.
The Axis can be bought as a new instrument.
The Axis is a hellava lot less money new or used.

Ok, i dont know if i did it right.. but i found a EBMM EVH on chris guitars and i put it on hold.

the guitar doesnt have the original Musicman Stamped gotoh floydrose.. but i have one in like MINT condition.. also, it has some scratches and dings and it has to be repainted and re-cleared.. (but its ok because i had painted a few guitars over the time and fixed a lot of scratches and they come out like new.)

The neck is straight, and frets are Ok.. no major damages on it..

i asked him if the pickups are original, he told me that they are indeed, and he will give me a few days to check it out and try it or else he will give me my money back. so i guess.. it was a good deal..
