I hear ya. I’m keeping my strat too, which I do love. The Cutlass is just a better quality instrument with more of the modern feature. It’s just crazy stable and the pickups are SO even in any setting.

And that Starry Night... the pics just don’t do it justice.

Not sure if any of you are interested but since I have changed gears on my hunt, Prymaxe.com has a BFR Tumescent HSS Luke III on sale for 2250 after clearance coupon. They also have a JP16 for 1800 after clearance coupon.

Picture quality is poor but I am incredibly excited to see if the AL HH scratches my itch for a little while longer. 😜

Yep... El Dorado Gold. GC / MF special color... somewhat rare. And you get the tone PP coil splits!
That's pretty much the ultimate AL right there (along with the MM90 & SSS versions... ;)
Congrats!
It might need some clean up & set up when you get it, but once that's done... ROCK!

Oh man, that is a beaut! The very first AL HH I ever played was at a Guitar Center in that same color. Congrats on the awesome find! They've done some really nice colors on the AL HH over the years.

Color is very nice. I have a silver metallic I wish was a different color. Contemplating doing something about it this year. Maybe a purple metallic - maybe not. :)

The cool thing about silver metallic / sparkle is the way it reflects whatever color lighting hits it... ;)
