Hi,

I need to ask you a question. I´ve been looking for my second guitar for a while now and I just can´t make up my mind on which one to get. I narrowed down my options to a jp6 BFR and a Suhr model Reb Beach . I already have a JPX 10th anniversary which I just love and since I´m a huge Petrucci fun I started questioning myself about the regular BFR model. However, at the same time, I´ve been asking myself if it wouldn´t be stupid to have two guitars, same brand, same signature model instead of having a different one!!! And that´s where the suhr comes in...

Would it be too stupid to have a JPX and a JP6 BFR instead of my JPX and a Suhr????????????

Thanks a lot,

Buy what you like, there is no harm having 2 of the same model (I have 2 Axis and 1 Axis Sport) Each have a different vibe but feel very familiar in my hand. However variety is the spice of life and there is nothing wrong with trying out different brands.

In the end I would say buy whatever you think you are going to play the most. The standard Pet and the BFR Pets are different animals then the JPX...

I had two Silos...

and as mentioned above they were two seperate beasts... though the feel and comfort was the same. I think if you like the JPX then there's nothing wrong at all with buying a second JP6BFR... especially if you love it that much... you know you're going to like that feel and playability so why risk not liking the other...

just my opinion...

I have so many Strats and no two sound or feel the same .... do whatever feels right and in my opinion an JP6 and a JPX are two different guitars.
Just take a look at the specs. :)

You're asking this question on an EB board? You may be getting some biased advice here! Haha! I own 2 JP BFRs and don't regret it one single bit. Because it's the perfect guitar for me and I wanted the guitars in different tunings. Nothing wrong with that at all!

I agree with shredding hand in that what answer do you think you are going to get on the company forum lol. Now to keep it real with you I have multiple EVH/Axis guitars as well as Strats and each has its own unique quality. Also their are differences between a BFR JP and a JPX and you will see posts where guys here have more love for one than the other. Truthfully only you can make this decision, and good luck on whatever you get.

Thanks for all the aswers... I think after all I just wanted to hear what I already know in order to make up my mind... that music man guitars rock!!! Anyway, I´m going to try a suhr RB out next week and I´ll go from there! But like peterd79 said: " you know you're going to like that feel and playability so why risk not liking the other?"
