need string help on 5 string bongo

Hello...I have a 5 string bongo and am considering stringing it without the low B and instead a using a six string set and using the high string of the set instead. Can you do this without adjusting the neck and will the strings sit in the nut ok?

You will need to adjust the trussrod (different string tension) and intonation. You may also need to adjust string height, depending on personal preference.

The strings should fit just fine.

I've done it, it works fine. Like mentioned above, there is a good chance that you will have to adjust the truss rod. Depending on how you like your action, you can usually lower it a good bit more strung through high c. It's great fun for chords, tapping, and general solo pieces.
I suppose I really need a six string. Bongo!
