Hey guys, looking to buy another Ball sometime in the very near future. I have a Petrucci BFR, a JPX, and an Axis. My question is....what do you think I should get next? Very interested in an AL and possibly a Luke. Leaning towards the HH AL with rosewood neck, but might be interested in the SSS too. What do you guys think? Tell me why you would buy one or the other!

Well based on your current guitars what you want to get/try is one of the HH AL's with the tone push/pull that is a coil split, they are awesome, extremely versatile and best of both worlds, hums and splits to give you the single coil sounds, plus GC has some cool ones right now, other wise try a Luke, lukes rule or think about a HSS Silo Special. Cant go wrong any way you go. Good Luck

You have 2 humbucker guitars. An Al SSS is entirely different. If you're looking to round out your fleet, the Al SSS can do what no other musicman guitar can sound wise.

If....on the other hand....If you want to stay in the same vein as what you have, then I'd have to agree with Keith and suggest an Al HH.

Personally, I have a rounded out group of guitars. I would really like to buy an Al HH but won't unless I sell my Axis because what they can put out sound wise is so close.

Just to make this a more rounded post....others to consider to keep the HH type guitars....

As always......I gotta say to find a dealer with lots of Musicman choices and play what you're considering. You might even want to bring in one of your own guitars to make a comparison.

I agree with Keith and Jack and say go for an AL as it is just a pleasure to play. As Jack stated if you want to broaden your arsenal and go S-S-S or P-90 you have your pick or if you want to stay in the same vein the AL HH will give you that but has a voice all its own. I just got my AL HH two months ago and it is now my favorite guitar.

As has already been said - you have the 'Bucker options covered. The SSS AL is awesome and you won't be disappointed.
I have 2 x SSS Als and an MM90 AL.

IMO and for what I play - SSS all the way!!

i would recommend to check out a SM-Y2D, it is a killer guitar and got a different tone as all of your guitars. it´s more a "rocker" with a nice mid-range sound, and the single coil gives you a nice sound-option.
