Help! needle in a haystack!

Hey guys,

I have been hunting for a Silhouette special in a nice colour with a standard trem in the UK, I have searched and called every store, nobody has one! I then widened the search to Europe, I found 1 or 2 good examples, but they were way over priced, I bought my Luke 2008LTD cheaper than the silo's europe offers. I then widened out more and searched the US, which was great, I found a bunch of nice ones, but only one of the stores would ship to the UK (guitar centre) which have only one, and I don't really like it.

Is it me or is the world lacking in Silhouettes?! I don't know where else to look I have a budget of about £1200, I don't want Piezo, just a trem, a great colour, maple neck/fingerboard H-S-S

It's like trying to find a needle in a haystack!

white's a little boring, white and pearl blue are pretty much the only colours I don't like, I love sunburst with black pick guard, or carbon blue with black pearl pick guard, or black pick guard on black

They really are! I have been offered two in the UK, one for £1199 (trem, rosewood, no piezo) and another for £975 (stop tail non piezo) both with a full musicman warrantee and next day delivery, I guess this has something to do with January sales maybe... but the closest europe has to offer that I have found has been closer to £1250 - £1400 not including delivery

The only problem is the ones in the UK aren't what I'm looking for If only it was possible to just order one direct from Musicman

I am well impressed with the selection some of the US & Australian stores have, but the only stores who have the spec I want wont ship welcome to the sick world of Mike!

Yeah I have been watching for a while, there's a blue one on there right now, the spec I want but in the colour I dislike the most - blue pearl, there's another cool one on there with a floyd, I know these are harder to come across, but I need a standard musicman trem,

Silhouettes are fantastic 'strat beaters' I'm hardly surprised that they are hard to find, I am enjoying the 'guitar hunting' I must say!

Yeah I have seen these, that's the only blue pearl one I like, the pickguard makes it look cooler, if only it was a maple fingerboard

You can never find one when you want one. If you wanted RW then all you would ever see is maple Happy hunting, I'll keep my eyes peeled for you

Yup, seen it, they offered it to me for £975 deliver included, BARGAIN, except, it's not what I'm looking for, there's no trem! other than that, it's perfect!

Mike did you get in contact with strings and things the company that distribute EBMM guitars in the uk to see what their stock is like.they can order on directly for you with the exaxt specs your looking for but you might have to pay extra.

I did that too

I got an email today from a store who will order me a maple neck H S S silo special in sunburst with a black pickguard and trem for £1000. I'm going to go for it!

I have finally found one!

their supplier has 3 in stock, and they have the spec I want! it's rare to see a maple neck silo special in vintage sunburst black pick guard H S S online I could only find 1 picture online, google found none!
