Well I am always looking to find a better affordable amp and well ran across this baby, the new Egnater Rebel 20, this little thing rocks, great tone,cool features and did not break the bank, has two 6V6 and two EL84 power tubes, you can use them seperate or blend them, way cool, have the matching 1X12 cab on order, just thought I would share and see if anyone else has tried these, some GC's have them in stock now, my buddy Robbie at the North Dallas store hooked me up on this one.:)

jason,

It is fing sweet, plus had a 10% discount coupon, so it was a no brainer:cool:

forgot to mention that you can also dial the wattage in, any where from 1 to 20, amazing how loud 1 watt can be:)

Nice little amp Keith, I've only read positive things about it.

How does it sound relative to the Soldano Astroverb (and what ever happened to that)?

Very nice...I'd really like to grab one of those.

Don,
This little thing is so cool, can highly recommend it.

That's a pretty cool little amp head with some great features. If only there were a store here to go check one out..

Jim,

Yea I had to wait for GC to get some in, only place that sells them are GC,MF and some other online store, but if you get to Denver make it a point to try one, sounds great with my Al's.

mb, check your PM, I can highly recommend this for the bedroom player like myself.

have you tried an orange tiny terror? They're amazing little amps :)

Yea, they are nice but harder to find and much more expensive and not nearly as versatile, much prefer this one.

Fing,

What kind of "speaker" is loaded in the 1X12 you're getting??

TNT, below are the specs on the cab, bought the tourmaster 2x12 with it but it as just to big and too much for my small room.

* Custom Voiced Egnater Celestion™ Elite-80 Speaker
* Ported for Increased Low End
* Rugged Birch Construction
* Strap Handle and Rubber Feet
* Dimensions: 18.75” (w) x 12.75” (d) x 15.5” (h)
* Weight: 31 lbs

Sounds great Fing, congrats! Just out of curiosity, where are these produced, in the US or overseas?

I am pretty sure these are US made, no sign of overseas production, here is the company contact info.

I would like to try one of these. The GC I normally go to did not have it the last time I was there. They do have the Tour Masters, though.

IIRC, these are made overseas. AFAIK, only the modular series are made in the U.S. Many moons ago, I was in the Egnater shop while Bruce was working on a prototype. I just knew that it would be something I'd be interested in. His then-business partner Frank made fun of me a little bit for wanting one instead of buying a Mod 50.

Hopefully, my GC will get them in so I can give one a whirl.

A little update got the 1X12 cab today, quicker than expected again thanks to Robbie at the North Dallas GC, sounds so great, I cannot tell you how pleased I am with this amp and my EBMM's, all of them can be dialed in with this amp.:D
