Hi guys, well I dont know if its here I should post this but anyway. I'm looking into buying a new amp preferably tubes and I would like to get some suggestions. I'm playing things with alot of distortion like COB, Bullet for my valentine, trivium, and also things like Nickelback, paramore, u2 and everything between. I'm not really playing gigs right now but I would like to have enough power for that too. I was planning spending about 1500 can$ for it and I prefer new stuff but it can be used too. Oh and I use a JP guitar if that can be of any help.

I would go for Peavey JSX Combo. Should be right around that price range and you got 3 channels and 120W of power. Very versetile amp. I want to get me one of these at some point.

Mesa Express 5:50 would fall in the price range and give you gig volume or the ENGL Thunder as well, DuBaldo Music stocks the ENGL.

The express and lonestar are not really "alot of distortion " type amps. But they do both sound fantastic in their own right.
Love those lonestars :D
