Hey All,

Been away from this board for a while. I kinda missed some of the character's on this board. (Did Foggy ever end up getting an EBMM, or is he still the offical EBMM Photo Reference Manager?) :) :D ;)

At this same time last year, I owned 7 EBMM's, but about 6 months ago I had to sell all my music gear.

Things got better recently, and I ordered a honeyburst Axis SS last December 12th. My dealer informed me last Thursday (My birthday) that EBMM let him know it was on it's way, and today it finally made it!!!

This is, without a doubt, the BEST ONE YET! Not a flaw anywhere (no news there), the action is absolutely PERFECT even after it's long trip in the middle of winter to Ohio (NICE WORK JON!!), the finish is absolutely georgeous. I have stared at the guitar for the past hour, and I can't find a flaw...anywhere... and I'm a ultra-picky bastard!

I mean, I absolutely dig the top on mine! I've only seen this quilt/flame mix top mostly in other pics of EBMM's, and I've been hoping to get one someday. It's not really a flame top, and it's not really quilt. Anyone have any ideas what to call it?

Anyway, enough gushing.

Great work Big Poppa. Tell everyone at the ranch you've got another satisfied customer!!!

That's one sweet hardtail you have there. As for the question about Foggy, I'll try and summarize it for you.
Foggy say's by the 2000 post mark he'll have an EBMM.
When at the 1900 post mark Foggy suddenly goes quiet.
All of a sudden Fogman 2 a chap very similar to the original Foggy arrives.
Meet Fogman 3 the fomites start to wonder.
Still no EBMM despite the fact that he has been offered at least 2 free EBMM!
Oh and he is still a photo slut (you can't say whore anymore or you'll get threatened with litigation from a chap claiming to have oversized genitalia).
I think that about sums it all up. ;) But we still love him.

The 2000 post thing is so far gone!
Let's just say I'm way closer to the EBMM than I've ever been. It's just not here yet!

Thanks for the comments guys.

Pundix- I work in Akron, but live near Youngstown. I get over to Cleveland every once in a while, but it's about a 2 hour drive from home.

Brent-
Thanks for the compliment. I've been working out a lot recently, and you're the first to notice. I have to tell you that I'm happily married, but If things go bad, I'll keep you in mind. ;) :D

Spud- I agree with you 100%!!!I'm still staring at it tonight as I type this. I don't know about you, but I sometimes hate getting a guitar this nice, because I don't want to play it! I wish they could stay new forever.

To make life even BETTER....today on the way home from work tonight my dealer called me AGAIN, to tell me my Marshall 4x12 came in today!!! I'm taking the wife's van out first thing tomorrow morning to get it. (You gotta love that new Marshall smell!)

Now I gotta choose a head.

JSX or DSL???

Anyone have any recent experience with the newer Marshall heads? I've heard horror stories about their QC these days.

Thanks for all the input guys!

There was just a whole thread called (something like) recommend me a half-stack, and that thread had lots of opinions on amp heads.

Personally, I'm really happy with my Peavey XXX. But these topics are soooo subjective, that's about all I can offer. Trust your ears.
