My NOS Axis arrived yesterday. Love the black magic crystal finish, but it's tough to get good pics, it definitely looks better in person. Did my usual upgrades & setup last night - titanium string blocks, stainless steel saddle & nut screws, EB strap locks, D-tuner, and a fresh set of M-Steels :)

Simply beautiful and classy looking! The pickup covers look terrific on that color! Nice score, congrats.

Thanks everyone, I'm loving this guitar. The only annoyance I'm dealing with is the case & guitar both had a little bit of a musty smell, not sure where they were stored by the eBay seller (still had the guitar center tags on it). I threw a couple boxes of baking soda in the case & am leaving the guitar out of the case for a few days. Also, it got a couple of stress cracks in the finish during transport, thankfully they're on the back. Seller offered to take it back, but I want to keep it, so we agreed on a partial refund.

Beautiful Axis. Black Magic Crystal is such a killer looking finish.

I had one of these...but I ended up letting it go. To me it didn't quite sound the same as my other Axis'...I'm thinking due to the covered pickups. The high end was not as crisp.

I should have kept it.

That's a wonderful color. The covered pickups give it a classy look.

I know it's not my old one, since mine is wearing chrome tuner buttons from my Luke III.

Did you put the pearloid tuner buttons on the LIII? Picture please!

OT: Nice Axis, congrats!
