First, a short story:
I was about 16 when my mom bought me my first electric guitar, a horrible Harmony electric strat copoy. For some reason, I stuck with it and began showing an interest in other guitars. I was always mesmerized by guitars with floyd rose bridges. About a year later I went to the local music store with my friend, and lo and behold behind the counter hung a red quilt axis. I always thought it was beautiful, but beyond my reach.
One day we went to buy some strings and BS with the employees when we asked about the axis. He promptly took it down and handed it to us to try. We went to the back and gingerly caressed the neck. I remember how smooth it was and how easily my hands cradled and slid up and down the neck.
Years later I would join a band and play different guitars, F's and G's and even a Hamer electric with a floyd. But nothing ever felt as comfortable as that wonderful neck. Now, more than 10 years after my guitar playing journey began, I can now include myself in great company:
My undying thanks to andy's guitars out of florida for helping me come full circle.
