Hi all,

I've been lurking on this board for quite awhile and as it turns out my first thread is kind of embarassing... Here's the whole sordid story:

Late last year I ordered an Axis SS with trem, piezo and MM90's after noodling around with a friends Axis SS stoptail. I ordered it from a well known (and almost universally disliked) dealer on the net. I didn't know this at the time and didn't do my homework before calling the shop.

I ordered in December and was given the standard 12 week lead time, no prob.

Three months later I checked in and the salesman told me it wold be two more months. I was bummed, and decided to do a little research. I found this board and discovered that the dealer I had used has quite the reputation and is NOT and authorized EBMM reseller. I called EB Customer service to see if a guitar was being built to the spec I had ordered.

EB customer service told me they had no records of anything being built for this dealer (seeing as they aren't authorized) and I should try to get my deposit back. :( I filed a claim with my CC company, after about three months I received a letter saying they couldn't reverse the charge as the goods I had ordered had been shipped to me!

By this time I had given up on my deposit and ordered the same config (with the upgraded top this time) from an authorized internet dealer.

So now I have TWO Axis Super Sport's with MM90's, Trem, Piezo, Maple Fretboard and matching headstock and I only need one. I'm keeping the one with the premium top and I figured I'd offer the other one here first. I know the used market is soft and I'm not looking to get all my money back. This will be a sweet deal for someone looking for this particular combination.

If EBMM is interested in tracking down where this dealer got the guitar, the Serial number is: G24727. Mods, please contact me directly if you want more info.

It's brand new, plastic still on the back plates, no scratches, been plugged into an amp once. The only thing missing is the warranty card. Email me if you'd like to make an offer.

Here are two pictures of the guitar(I'll be posting pics of the keeper in the pics thread soon) :

I would also like to know what you are going to be asking for it? I am however sorry about what you went through getting it though. I hate to hear stories like that. I havent had that happen to me but I can tell you a bad story about a sales clerk that didnt know his head from his $#% at Guitar center.

Tony,

Email me. I know a guy (in my band) who wants one after he heard and saw my tobacco burst piezo w/hums.

Loves the piezo option, and I just sold him my les paul studio today.

Answers to all your questions...

I debated posting a price (inserted and deleted it several times) but decided against it figuring I could discuss it individually with anyone who was interested enough. I'm not asking anyone to make me an offer. If you're interested I'll email you my asking price.

I'm not trying to start a bidding war, nor do I want to clog the board with discussions of why I'm an idiot and out of my mind and asking way too much etc. etc.

I'd much rather be called an idiot in private :D

Disclosure: I paid $1679 plus shipping.

I still won't name the dealer but I will say he's been called magically delicious. :p

Thanks!

PS. Keith was the first to ask me to contact him so he's got first right of refusal.

TonyP....Sorry to hear about your guitar....the bright side is, you got one that you wanted. The other good side is, the one you posted a pic of is gorgeous and WILL sell. How much, I do not know, but someone will buy it. Very nice. The "leprechaun" in question does have the rep as being a swindler. I would love to meet him one day. As would many other people. I will keep an eye out to see if someone I know may want to purchase such a fine axe.......
