The new in-house Axis trem seems worthy a worthy successor, and I prefer the fine tuners over the Gotoh version as they are more akin to the original Floyd.

My Tribute came without the trem arm in the case, so I waited for the retailer to have Ernie Ball send one on.
Having just got it, it is labelled the 'Petrucci' arm, and whilst it fits, is thicker than the Gotoh on my other Axii and sits at a higher angle. The higher angle will take some adjustment in my approach in moving between the guitars.
The retailer has confirmed that the advice from EB was that the arm is the same for both models.

Is this correct?
I could do with more confirmation as I am finding it hard to believe.

A call to Ernie Ball Customer Service confirmed the new in-house Axis trem uses the Petrucci bar.
They said that they used customer feedback to decide how to make the new trem.
