Being a lefty, I never thought I would want a black bass again as that is about the only color many manufacturers offer and I love crazy colors on instruments. But behold; my fourth Ball is in the house and I am absolutely loving the black/black/maple combo!

I bought this 2009 lefty Ray slightly used this morning and could not be happier. I am so far just loving the differences in feel and tone compared to my rosewood board SR4. Never thought I would want a maple fingerboard but this baby is going to get a lot of play time!

This is the first EBMM bass I have bought used but I still have to thank B.P. and the crew for making such a stellar instrument.

And now for some pics!

Apart from the fact that it is upside down, that is a beautiful bass and exactly like mine, which is the right way round...;)

It is now my very first call bass, in fact the only bass that I have gigged with over the past year. Classic, stunning.

Yes they are backwards to most people and I appreciate the fact that EBMM offers so many models and color options to us lefties!

Congratulations!

In '81 my pre-EB StingRay was the same color combo, black/black/maple.

I used a mirror to look at these pics to make them look correct. I'm not kidding, either.
