New bass.. god yes.

It's about time!

After five months of waiting, and two days of frustrating dealings with UPS, I have my bass.

Sterling. Unlined fretless. Single Humbucker. Sounds and looks amazing! I'm so happy with it. It seems to inspire me to play 10x better than usual!

Also, before I got my bass, I recorded a song in its honour.

I don't usually swear in my songs, but I tried to copy the genre as best I could!

I'm glad to be apart of this great community now, and part of the even better sub-community of Zappa fans, and the even smaller sub-community of left-handed Zappa fans..


Pete, I'll be bringing it on Wednesday for sure! By then, I hope to have worked out the major kinks in my intonation.. I also somehow ended up with a great 115 Dave Eden Cab, so now my Hartke 410 has a companion upon which to rest! What with my finished stack setup and my new bass, I think I might just be in heaven now.. if only I could find the 77 virgins.. or was that crystal clear raisins?

Enjoy that bass and the new cab mang! It was great to meet you in person and try out each other's lefty Musicman basses. That is a rare opportunity for us southpaws for sure. Of course now I am gassing even more for a fretless EBMM. I'm still torn between Ray or Bongo but your Sterling sure was nice to play!
